DESCRIPTION:REMEMBRANCE DAY CEREMONIES AT THE SLOVAK LEGION November 11 at 10:30am.\nThe Royal Canadian Slovak Legion Branch 129 Remembrance Day Ceremony  will be held at the Slovak Legion on November 11\, 2023 in our Legion Main Hall starting at 10:30am.\nThe Royal Canadian Slovak Legion Branch 129 Remembrance Day Ceremony is indoors and fully accessible. \nRemember to proudly wear a poppy as a tribute to all who fought\, and those who continue to serve\, and those who died to ensure we have the freedoms we do in Canada today! “A Veteran is any person who is serving or who has honorably served in the Canadian Armed Forces\, the Commonwealth or its wartime allies\, or as a Regular Member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police\, or as a Peace Officer in a Special Duty Area or on a Special Duty Operation\, or who has served in the Merchant Navy or Ferry Command during wartime.” The Poppy Campaign begins October 31\, 2025.\nAttend a Remembrance Day Ceremony and thank a veteran. Your freedoms and mine in Canada came from the sacrifices of many and should not be taken for granted. We will remember them…\nLest We Forget…\nKim Treichler and the Royal Canadian Slovak Legion Branch#129 Colour Party will be visiting many Retirement Homes and doing services for our Seniors prior to November 11 .  Please check the schedule posted running from November 6 to November 10 on this website.\nSlovak Legion Colour Party Remembrance Day for Retirement Homes Schedule November 6 to November 10.   Thank you to all involved with paying tribute to the many who sacrificed so much to ensure we have the freedoms we do in Canada today.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe Will Remember Them.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nThere will also be Services at Fort William First Nation\, the Fort William Gardens\, and Waverley Park. \n\n  \n\n\n\n
