DESCRIPTION:November 11 Remembrance Day\n\n  \n \nRemember to proudly wear a poppy as a tribute to all who fought\, and those who continue to serve as part of the Canadian Armed Forces\, and those who died to ensure we have the freedoms we do in Canada today! “A Veteran is any person who is serving or who has honorably served in the Canadian Armed Forces\, the Commonwealth or its wartime allies\, or as a Regular Member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police\, or as a Peace Officer in a Special Duty Area or on a Special Duty Operation\, or who has served in the Merchant Navy or Ferry Command during wartime.” \nThis year\, the Slovak Legion members  will be joining the Remembrance Day Services November 11\, 2024 at 10:30am at the Fort William Gardens after meeting for a brief service at our Legion Cenotaph.  A bus will be available to transport those involved to the Fort William Gardens. \nFort William First Nation  Remembrance Day Ceremony is at the MT McKay Cenotaph  November 11\, 2024 at 10:15am. \nRemembrance Day will also take place  at the Waverly Park Cenotaph with Parade form up on November 11\, 2024 at 10:25am. \nAttend a Remembrance Day Ceremony and thank a veteran. Your freedoms and mine in Canada came from the sacrifices of many and should not be taken for granted. We will remember them… \n  \nApplebees Thunder Bay is offering our veterans and active duty military the following on Remembrance Day (they shared this when Jeanetty stopped by to refill their Poppy Box and I am sharing it with you.) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIt is our pleasure to serve our veterans and active duty military. On Remembrance Day\, to thank all those who have served our country we will be offering all veterans and active duty military a free meal on Applebee’s Thunder Bay. \nJoin us in restaurant on November 11 as we show our appreciation and veterans and active duty military can choose from our delicious Remembrance Day entrees. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
